* Azrolid (Azithromycin) 500 mg 3 Film-Coated Tablets. Macrolide Antibiotic.
* Composition: Each tablet contains:
& & Azithromycin dihydrate 524.1 mg (Equivalent to 500 mg Azithromycin).
* Therapeutic Indications:
& & Azrolid is indicated for treatment of infections caused by susceptible organisms including:
& & – Lower respiratory tract infections (including bronchitis and pneumonia),
& & – Skin and soft tissue infections,
& & – Acute otitis media and tonsillitis,
& & – Upper respiratory tract infections including sinusitis and pharyngitis,
& & – Uncomplicated genital infections due to Chlamydia trachomatis.
* Dosage:
& & – Tablets may be given without regard to meals.
& & – The usual adult dose for most infections is 500 mg once a day, for 3 days.
& & – The usual dose for uncomplicated genital infections, due to Chlamydia trachomatis, is 1 gm as a single dose.
* Store at temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C, in a dry place
