* Curam 625 mg (Amoxycillin 500 mg / Clavulanic acid 125 mg as potassium salt) 12 film-coated tablets.
* Composition: Each tablet contains:
& & Amoxycillin 500 mg (as Amoxycillin Trihydrate) + Clavulanic acid 125 mg (as potassium clavulanate).
* Indications: For the treatment of common bacterial infections where oral therapy is indicated, including:
& & – Upper respiratory tract infections (including ENT): sinusitis, tonsillitis, otitis media.
& & – Skin and soft tissue infections: boils/abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections, intra-abdominal spesis.
& & – Lower respiratory tract infections: acute and chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, lung abscess.
& & – Genito-urinary tract infections: systitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis, septic abortion, pelvic infection, chancroid, gonorrhoea.
& & – Other infections: osteomyelitis, septicaemia, peritonitis, post-operative infections.
* Dosage:
& & # Adults and children over 12 years: respiratory tract infections: one Curam 625 mg tablet 3 times a day.
& & – Treatment with Curam should not be extended beyond 14 days without review.
& & # Dosage in renal impairment:
& & Adults:
& & – Mild impairment (> 30 mL / min): No change of dosage.
& & – Moderate impairment (10-30 mL / min): Curam 625 mg 12 hourly.
& & – Severe impairment (<10 mL / min): Not more than Curam 625 mg 24 hourly.
& & Children: Similar reduction in dosage should be made for children.
* Prescription Only. Application according to medical instructions.
* Store below 25 degrees C, protect from light and moisture.
