* Directions for dipensing:
& & – Remove the plastic stopper and do not put the plastic stopper again on prepared bottle.
& & – Shake well after before adding water.
& & – Add water till it reaches the sign on the bottle then shake again.
& & – Shake well before each use.
& & – When reconstituted as directed, each 5 mL contains 600 mg as amoxicillin trihydrate and 42.9 mg clavulanic acid as
& & clavulanate potassium.
& & – Once reconstituted, store in refrigerator and use within 7 days. Do not freeze.
* Indications: Newclav Extra is indicated for the treatment of pediatric patients with recurrent or persistent acute otitis media
& & due to S. pneumonia, H. influenzae (including Beta-lactamase-producing strains), or M. catarrhalis (including Beta-lactamase-
& & producing strains).
* Dosage && administration: Pediatric patients 3 months and older:
& & – Based on the amoxicillin component (600mg/5mL), the recommended dose of Newclav Extra is 90mg/kg/day divided every
& & 12 hours, administered for 10 days.
& & . 8 Kg body weight: 3.0 mL twice daily.
& & . 12 Kg body weight: 4.5 mL twice daily.
& & . 16 Kg body weight: 6.0 mL twice daily.
& & . 20 Kg body weight: 7.5 mL twice daily.
& & . 24 Kg body weight: 9.0 mL twice daily.
& & . 28 Kg body weight: 10.5 mL twice daily.
& & . 32 Kg body weight: 12.0 mL twice daily.
& & . 36 Kg body weight: 13.5 mL twice daily.
