* STREPTOQUIN Dry Suspension 60 ml After Reconstitution. Antidiarrheal – Antispasmodic.
* Composition: Each 5 mL of the suspension (after reconstitution) contains:
Diiodohydroxyquinoline 100 mg + Phthalyl sulphathiazole 150 mg + Streptomycin sulfate 85 mg +
Homatropine methyl bromide 0.5 mg.
* Streptoquin is an effective combination For the treatment of Infective diarrhea Associated with colic.
* Indications: Anti-bacterial – Anti-protozoal – Anti-Spasmodic.
– Chronic intestinal amebiasis.
– Chronic intestinal amebiasis.
– Diarrhea caused by other intestinal infections and associated with intestinal colic.
* Contraindications:
Streptoquin is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to sulfonamides.
* Method of Reconstitution of the suspension:
Add distilled or previously boiled and cooled water to the mark on the bottle, in 2 portions. Shake the botlle after each addition.
* Important Remark:
Streptoquin suspension is stable and can be used for 14 days after reconstitution when kept in a refrigerator,
or for 7 days, when kept at room temperature.
* Dosage: Reconstituted Suspension:
Children from 1-2 years: One teaspoonful 3 times daily.
2-5 years: One teaspoonful 4 times daily.
5-12 years:Two tablespoonfuls 4 times daily Or as directed by the physician
Shake well before use.
* Store in a dry place, at a temperature not exceeding 30 degrees C.
